Courteney Cox Vacationing in St Bart’s

Amid rumors that she and ex-husband David Arquette might be reconciling, Courteney Cox was spotting in St Bart’s vacationing with her daughter, Coco and her Cougar Town co-star, Josh Hopkins. Courteney has been romantically linked to Josh, but sources say Courteney is just pals with Josh and they were in St Bart’s with a group of friends.
 
Regardless of their intentions, it’s clear that St. Bart’s is such a favorable vacation destination because of its amazing versatility; people come for family time with their children, as a way of reconnecting with old friends or just to enjoy a quiet, romantic getaway. Courteney chose to spend yesterday splashing in the clear, blue waves of Flamands Beach with her daughter. Flamands has fun waves and is always a favorite with families.

With her new movie, Scream 4 being released on April 15th, Courteney is undoubtedly using her free time to just relax and enjoy quality time with the people she loves.

St Barth Bucket Wrapping Up Today

The 25^th St Barth Bucket Regatta is wrapping up today after four days of races and fun. According to their website, the Bucket has become a premier Mega Yacht Regatta that invites owners and crews of the world’s largest sailing yachts to sail to peak performance in a safe venue, in the spirit of wholesome competition. The St Barth Bucket has a limit of 30 yachts to keep control of the event and to maintain the non-commercial, laid-back concept that the founders originally planned for.

Celebrities with an interest in yachting often flock to the Bucket as a way of combining their relaxing vacation with a bit of casual fun. Many often opt to stay in private villas or boutique hotels that overlook Gustavia Harbor so they can unwind in their own personal space while still catching the action going on in town.  Of course, there’s always the occasional celebrity that loves to get a piece of the action; Jimmy Buffet is friends with the owner of the yacht “Meteor” and he has sailed with the crew during the race.

Stephanie Seymour Spotted In St Barts

Former top model Stephanie Seymour, famous for gracing the covers of popular magazines like Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret, has been spotted all over the island of St Barts recently. Seymour is vacationing with her billionaire husband, Peter Brand and her children Harry and Lily.

Rumor has it that Seymour and her family are staying in an amazing new villa near Saline Beach. Saline is known for its privacy and unspoiled beauty; you will not find a single restaurant, hotel or villa on the beach. It is the definition of paradise.

Seymour has kept her St Barts vacation low-key, opting to spend most of her days playing with her kids at the beach or relaxing in the privacy of her villa. Brand and Seymour had filed for divorce, but recently, they decided to try and work things out. It looks like St Barts might be part of their plan to lay low, reconnect and enjoy time with each other.

 

Victoria’s Secret 2011 Swimwear Collection Lookbook Shot in St. Bart’s

The recently released Victoria’s Secret 2011 Swimwear Collection Lookbook has gained popularity not just for it’s beautiful models, but for it’s gorgeous backdrops as well.  The newest collection was photographed by Russell James in the Caribbean islands of Anguilla, Turks & Caicos and, of course, St Barts.

Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr (Orlando Bloom’s wife), Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Adriana Lima and Erin Heatherton were all spotted posing around St Barts last year, so I was curious as to when we would finally get a peak at the finished product!

A video was released today as a supplement to the lookbook and it brings the beauty of St Bart’s to life. It’s called the “Little Black Suit” video and it is to promote their stunning new black swimsuits. The beachwear is great, but I had more fun looking at the St Bart’s backdrop and wishing I could be there on the beach.

 

Real Housewife of New York City Jets to St.Bart’s

We’ve all seen the fabulous lives the women of the Real Housewives franchise lead – the most amazing parties, luxury cars and sparkling jewels…so is it any surprise they also vacation on one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive islands? Alex McCord and her husband Simon van Kempen from The Real Housewives of New York City left for St. Bart’s on March 10^th and will be there for 6 days to celebrate Simon’s birthday.

They are just missing the Carnival celebration on the island and they will leave right before the popular mega-yacht race, the St Barth Bucket, kicks off. It looks like they are only looking for the rest and relaxation that St Bart’s is famous for. Another hint that they’re only there to relax? Simon took to his Twitter right before leaving NYC:

Imagine if they aired a special St Bart’s episode of Real Housewives where Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Jill Zarin and the other girls show up to surprise Alex – somehow I don’t think the relaxation would last long!

 

Roman Abramovich Sets Sail in Mega-Yacht

If you owned one of the most fabulous private villas on St Bart’s, that would probably be enough for you, right? That is not the case for Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Abramovich, well known for his star-studded New Years Eve parties, has been sighted cruising the waters of the Caribbean in his brand new mega-yacht.  The Sacramento Bee reports that Abramovich’s yacht is the world’s largest and most expensive private yacht at 557 feet and an estimated $1.2 billion.

So, what would one find on a billion dollar yacht? 2 helicopter landing pads, underwater motion and heat sensors, anti-paparazzi lasers, 2 swimming pools, a cinema, an aquarium…and much, much more.  Personally, his private villa overlooking Gouveneur Beach in St Barts sounds a little more relaxing and special to me, but I can imagine this yacht isn’t such a bad toy to play with!

Director Steven Spielberg was spotted anchored near Abramovich recently in St. Maarten. Spielberg’s yacht is said to have been about $200 million and, of course, features an impressive movie theater.  Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw were caught on camera on their yacht this past Christmas while they jet skied around St Barts.

 

 

Michael Strahan Tweets from St Bart’s

St. Bart’s is a destination where celebrities for go rest, relaxation and total rejuvenation. Retired NFL superstar, Michael Strahan, went there this past week for all of those reasons – but felt the need to Tweet about it in the process. We are pretty sure he just wanted to share his excitement about being in such a beautiful location, but it left us feeling completely jealous!

Strahan, more recently known for his work on the show “Brothers,” hit up the NBA’s All-Star weekend in Los Angeles. He saw Blake Griffin fly over a car to win the Slam Dunk Contest, and then he went and relaxed at a party watching Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, The Game, DMC, Warren G and Dogg Pound perform.  Judging from his Twitter, as soon as he was done in LA, he hopped a plane to St Barts as a way to completely unwind.
